1 Demonstrate the ability to safely administer adult medication and IV fluids.
2 Demonstrate the knowledge and understanding necessary to care for a woman with abnormal pain in terms of the use of pharmacological pain management and anaesthetics.
3 Demonstrate the knowledge and understanding necessary to care for childbearing women (and babies) when surgical interventions are required during pregnancy or following birth complications.
4 Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to care for women and/or baby who requires complex assessments and/or interventions in pregnancy, labour or postpartum; including caesarean delivery, maternity emergencies including caesarean delivery.
5 Demonstrate the knowledge and understanding necessary to care for a woman and/or a baby who has problems with drugs or alcohol use.
6 Demonstrate the knowledge and understanding necessary to care for women with common mental health concerns during childbearing including anxiety, depression, grief and loss.
