1 discuss the differences in global patterns of maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity and relate these to the social determinants of health

4 describe theories of cultural competence as a way to avoid and address common forms of social discrimination
5 demonstrate basic skills for practice: hand washing, numeracy, bed making, safe moving, general health assessment, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, urinalysis and respiration.
