On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
apply advanced level concepts and techniques relevant to a specific studio practice area
evaluate and reflect on advanced level music practice and design strategies to improve targeted areas
critically apply advanced level concepts and techniques to the performance /presentation of selected repertoire/examples in a specific studio practice area.

Students are required to have access to personal instruments and practice equipment including;
Voice: Microphone, metronome and manuscript paper.
Bass: Bass guitar, lead, tuner, metronome and manuscript paper.
Guitar: Guitar (acoustic or electric), lead, tuner, metronome and manuscript paper.
Keys: Access to keyboard, metronome and manuscript paper.
Drums: Drum sticks, brushes, practice pad, metronome and manuscript paper.
Songwriting: As prescribed by individual studio lecturer.
Production: Access to a DAW of choice, interface, microphone, studio monitors and/or good quality studio headphones.
Other: As prescribed by individual studio lecturer.
