Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
explain fundamental concepts relating to the physics of sound and the neurology of human sound perception
describe the historical development of global musical cultures and factors that influenced the emergence of specific musical styles of popular and contemporary music
identify prominent stylistic features of a range of popular music styles
utilise specific research methodologies employed in the analysis of global musical styles and cultures.
