    Students are expected to have a working knowledge in the operation of a digital multi-track recording studio and be familiar with contemporary digital audio workstations. A minimum 80% attendance record for all scheduled classes is normally required to qualify for a passing grade.

Unit description

Develops advanced audio production skills and examines specific techniques employed in the creation of digital and analog audio files in a range of file types. Techniques and processes covered in the syllabus include advanced sound recording and editing, introduction to audio mastering sound spatialisation and surround sound formats, an examination of emerging digital audio technologies.
