On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
critically evaluate trends in commercial, recreational and indigenous fisheries at a global and national level
define and use key terms and concepts related to fisheries and marine parks
discuss and justify the use of data in the assessment and decision-making processes of fisheries management
critically evaluate the structure and appropriateness of fisheries and marine park management systems including regulatory measures, legislation, international instruments, and governance
