Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

1 identify the processes involved in undertaking a HR research project
2 identify the goals of the project based on a research framework
3 demonstrate in practice different types of research methods including: qualitative and quantitative methods using data collection tools such as surveys, interviews, observation, focus groups and other methods of collecting data
4 answer primary and secondary research questions
5 formulate a report for industry based on current literature and the findings from data collection methods used.
