This unit contains professional experience learning/ laboratory activities that require students to meet mandatory compliance requirements prior to attending. Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
critically apply the geo-socio-political and regulatory context to an area of midwifery practice
critically review and appraise current evidence-informed maternity practices and how this impacts upon quality care provision and the evidence that informs clinical decision-making within midwifery
critically explore a qualitative data collection and analysis method
assess, plan and implement safe midwifery care of women within their childbearing episode
