This unit contains laboratory activities and/or professional experience learning that require students to fulfil certain vaccination and compliance requirements prior to attending. Learning outcomes

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
critically apply evidenced-informed midwifery care to a woman experiencing complexity within her childbearing episode including care for the fetus/neonate
apply clinical reasoning and decision-making skills to obstetric emergencies
design an evidence-based midwifery resource with a focus on complex conditions for the woman or baby
demonstrate and apply safe and competent midwifery practice to a woman experiencing complexity within her childbearing episode including care for the fetus/neonate
demonstrate competency in numeracy including complex medication calculations.
