Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate a critical understanding of how common or nonspecific factors such as therapeutic rapport and alliance contribute to positive outcomes in mental health practice
critically describe the underpinning assumptions, theory and practice of mindfulness and cognitive behaviour therapy
compare and contrast compare common therapeutic models, approaches and schools of psychotherapy
apply focused psychological strategies and psychotherapy informed principles in the treatment of people with high prevalence mental health problems
