Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
identify and critically analyse the different forms of video-based journalism
discuss the implications of the digital revolution for broadcast news media and journalists
demonstrate competency in operating digital video production and editing equipment
plan, research, report, produce and edit video-based journalism reports
demonstrate an understanding of roles involved in video news production, working effectively, ethically and professionally as part of a small production team.
