Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

Apply foundational descriptive statistical techniques to solve problems within business and/or economic contexts, and formulate data-informed, meaningful conclusions.

Utilise industry-standard spreadsheet and statistical software to generate graphical representations of data relevant to business and/or economic activity.

Apply digital literacy skills to analyse, interpret and communicate data and graphs to formulate evidence-based recommendations for business and/or economic activities, considering ethical and socio-economic factors.

Identify and reflect upon additional data and ethical considerations in order to adjust and enhance evidence-based recommendations for business and/or economic activities.
