Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate personal competence in mathematics through applying mathematical concepts and problem-solving across topics appropriate for tertiary study and professional teaching contexts
explain and communicate key mathematical concepts and capabilities that support the integration of numeracy in professional practice and everyday contexts, including applying and communicating mathematical and numerical information
plan for, collect, analyse, represent and apply data for individual and professional use in a variety of settings in ethical and appropriate ways including applications to probability
employ a range of appropriate technology applications for mathematics and numeracy, in everyday and professional settings
