Unit description

Introduces students to and develops mathematical knowledge, concepts and skills required in a range of quantitatively based awards. To reinforce learning real world applications of mathematics will be utilised to develop students’ problem solving skills. Software associated with mathematical calculations, graphing and problem solving will be used.

Warm Up Module - Introduction to learning/relearning mathematics

Module 1 - Number theory, arithmetic and financial mathematics

Module 2 - Algebra fundamentals

Module 3 - Solving, manipulating and graphing equations

Module 4 - Measurement, logic and networks

Module 5 - Trigonometry and applied geometry 

Module 6 - Data analysis, statistics and probability

Learning outcomes
