Unit description

Introduces students to the algebraic and other mathematical concepts and processes required for calculus and linear algebra. Topics include Basic algebra review, further algebra, Simultaneous equations, introduction to differentiation and integration with several different types of function, introduction to matrix algebra.

Topic 3: Algebra 2 – advanced algebraic techniques

Topic 4: Introduction to differentiation and limits

Topic 5: First derivative

Topic 6: Rules of differentiation

Topic 7: The definite integral

Topic 8: Indefinite integrals

Topic 9: Mixed revision including matric algebra techniques

Topic 10: Revision and review – 'real world' applications
