Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
define conveyancing work, and correctly identify the tasks that a licensed conveyancer can properly perform in NSW
demonstrate a working knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework relating to the licensing and discipline of conveyancers in NSW
demonstrate knowledge of the current status and the role of the conveyancing profession in NSW, including its history, its relationship with the legal profession, and the significance of the licensed conveyancer as a fiduciary
demonstrate knowledge of the important business and practice skills required to be utilised by the effective licensed conveyancer in contemporary commercial legal and/or conveyancing practice.
