Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate a working knowledge of the regulatory framework which applies to licensed conveyancers in NSW
demonstrate knowledge of the current status and the role of the conveyancing profession in NSW, including the history of the profession and its relationship with the legal profession
define conveyancing work and correctly identify the ambit of legal work which the licensed conveyancer can properly undertake in NSW
accurately identify the specific legislative requirements pertaining to the licensing of conveyancers in NSW
demonstrate knowledge of the rules of conduct which apply to licensed conveyancers in NSW and understand the importance and significance of the licensed conveyancer as a fiduciary
identify the legislative provisions relating to the discipline of licensed conveyancers in NSW
demonstrate knowledge of the important business and practice skills required to be utilised by the effective licensed conveyancer in contemporary commercial legal and/or conveyancing practice.
