Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
explain the role of tort law and how it has been impacted by legislative change, demonstrate legal writing skills appropriate to the role of a paralegal
identify the elements of an action for negligence and for certain other torts
describe the processes by which claims for compensation are pursued and damages are assessed
apply to factual situations the principles of liability to pay compensation.
