On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
explain the relevance of the theoretical framework of the client based interview
develop the skills and techniques required for interviewing and negotiation
demonstrate an understanding of the theory of negotiation and the skills and tactics of the negotiation process
describe and evaluate the ethical considerations involved in interviewing and negotiation, and the ethical rules governing legal practice generally.
