Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate knowledge of the various articulations of the concept of performance and their development through the different historical periods.
examine the intersection of the concept of performance with other theoretical fields: visual studies, law and literature, law and culture, theatre studies, performing arts.
apply the theoretical frameworks to literary and cultural texts.
research new examples in line with the concepts addressed during the course and demonstrate skills in critical analysis and the written presentation of research and argument.
