On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
discuss and assess existing concepts and technologies that underlie the design, implementation and management of Internet-based information systems
design and implement scalable and secured Internet-based information systems for a Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) using modern Internet technologies
identify and propose solutions to the issues related to managing and securing Internet-based data ecosystems
evaluate the effect of Big Data and pervasive computing on business from a data and security management perspective
conduct research and critically evaluate recent advances in Internet-based data and security technologies
