Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
discuss methods of evaluation of a user interface design including aesthetics, usability and cultural issues.
perform a usability evaluation for an existing software application
measure and analyse usability performance and preference metrics: learning, task time, task completion and user satisfaction.
recommend adaptions to user interface designs based upon the results of a usability test, including adaptions based on improved and/or emerging technologies
discuss specialised factors of user interface designs, including emerging technologies, to reflect users' characteristics to increase effectiveness and the user experience
