Unit description

Introduces students to computing for data analytics and the role it plays in problem-solving. Students will learn to break down problems into steps that can be performed by machines to solve problems and accomplish goals.

Learning outcomes

explain data analytics and its role in problem-solving

apply data analytics to decompose problems into solution steps

develop small procedures that use existing algorithms to solve problems

implement and debug procedures in a suitable environment.
