Unit description

Teaches students the tools and strategies to present data analytics insight in a clear and accessible manner to aid decision-making. Focuses heavily on practice-based learning where students repeat the cycle of practice, feedback and reflection.

Topic 1: Data visualization tools
Topic 2: Data visualization programming languages
Topic 3: Role of data analytics tools and programming languages in data visualization 
Topic 4: Translating quantitative data into accessible information
Topic 5A: Effective use of visualizations in reports and presentations
Topic 5B: Information-based communication and presentation skills
Topic 6: Self-reflection for improving communication.
