Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
discuss key concepts of health and wellbeing as determined by Aboriginal people
identify key stages of the colonisation process and its relationship to the contemporary health status of Australian Indigenous people
analyse the relationship between socio-economic factors and the contemporary health status of Australian Indigenous people
explain how primary health care and/or health promotion enhances the wellbeing of Indigenous people and role of the health professional as an agent of social change
