Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

critically evaluate policies and practices of heritage institutions in relation to Indigenous protocols, principles, and best-practice standards for working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural materials

develop strategies including critical and ethical, self and group, evaluation skills necessary for effective practice in cultural heritage

describe and analyse the significance of personal values and ethical practice in establishing and sustaining affirming community relations.
