Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

1 identify existing care options and synthesise strategies for the design and implementation of appropriate and acceptable models of aged care for Indigenous Australian peoples
2 formulate flexible model/s of community based care and respite options for Elders that incorporate family, culture and the diverse needs of Indigenous communities in urban, rural and remote locations
3 identify priorities and strategies to enable Indigenous Elders’ access to residential aged care that is culturally safe and competent and addresses individual cultural and family obligations.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
