Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

discuss the Resource-Based View (RBV) of the firm and its relationship with workforce metrics and analytical tools

identify factors affecting strategic planning by examining the contemporary issues in HRM in the Asia Pacific Region (the implication of poor planning and high turnover)

identify smart systems and the impact upon sustainability, learning organisations and the innovative behaviour of employees

demonstrate an understanding of HR metrics, workforce analytics, HRD tools, performance management systems, and high performance and virtual team

identify antecedents and outcomes associated with the retention of skilled workers, mission critical skills sets, ethical implications of outsourcing, knowledge management in the public/ private sector, SMEs and not-for profit organisations.
