Unit description

This unit develops an understanding of factors affecting labour supply and demand in a local and global context. More specifically, the factors affecting the current labour markets' conditions such as globalisation, an aging population, skill shortages and the changing nature of work are discussed.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

assess how social responsibility and sustainability principles influence corporate governance within ethical business frameworks

discuss the innovative management competencies needed to deal with today’s turbulent business environment, including issues of globalisation, diversity and rapid change.
