    The purpose of work integrated learning is to apply knowledge and skills from the current degree to the work placement. As such advanced standing for prior work experience will not be considered for this unit. Please note that Industry Internship B is an advanced unit and should only be attempted towards the end of your course.


Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

demonstrate knowledge of the nature, scope, and breadth of supervision, management, and leadership in your chosen sector

demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate the skills and attitudes required for success as a manager or supervisor in your chosen sector

demonstrate the capability to apply concepts and principles of supervision, management and leadership learnt at THSA in your chosen sector

demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to reflect upon the challenges of being a successful supervisor or manager in your chosen sector.
