Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

critically analyse the principles and practices of human resource management in the hospitality industry, including recruitment, development, and retention

analyse the impact of workplace diversity, cultural intelligence, and inclusive practices on team performance and guest experience

collaboratively apply human resources management strategies to manage the employment life-cycle effectively in diverse hospitality contexts

evaluate leadership approaches and performance management systems that support talent development and organisational success.
