Unit description

This unit focuses on the use of technology in the planning, design, and delivery of events. It introduces students to virtual and hybrid events, digital platforms, interactive technologies, audience engagement strategies and the many ways in which emerging technologies are revolutionizing the events industry. Students will explore the full life cycle of virtual  and hybrid events, from concept development to platform selection, production logistics, accessibility, execution and post-event analytics. Students will also examine both the advantages and challenges of using AI in event management. Through case studies and digital tools, students will gain the practical and strategic skills needed to succeed in this evolving field of event delivery.

collaboratively design a virtual or hybrid event plan incorporating technical, logistical, and user experience considerations.
