Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
Demonstrate an understanding of the key concepts of sustainability, corporate social responsibility and environmental management
Demonstrate an understanding of the importance and interdependence of the relationship of Tourism and Hospitality to the environment
Analyse the environmental impacts of hotel operations and evaluate operational constraints in implementing environmental management systems
Propose appropriate ways of applying sustainability principles to hotel organisations
Evaluate professional and academic publications on hospitality management and the environment.
