Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
describe the accommodation sector, and examine the relationship between this sector and other components of the hospitality industry
identify and explore operational issues within the front and back of house areas of accommodation organisations
compare the relationship between an accommodation provider's target market and its organisation structure, facilities and service culture
describe the Guest Cycle and evaluate how it relates to a range of accommodation organisations.
