Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
describe and instruct advanced strength training lifts and techniques to ensure safety
apply the principles of training theory in the construction of an integrated annual training plan for the preparation of athletes of various ages
create a training monitoring program for an athlete and analyse data and research literature to inform professional decision-making
recognise the general etiology of injury in an athlete when developing injury prevention and rehabilitation programs
