Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

3 Demonstrate the development of client-centred practice, evidence-based practice, professional problem solving and clinical reasoning skills relevant to occupational therapy service delivery
4 Actively participate as an effective team member within a range of settings to develop skills in the provision of occupational therapy services applicable to the placement environment
5 Demonstrate a high level of verbal communication skills with clients, families, staff and relevant others with increasing levels of independence and create and maintain appropriate client records, reports and other required documentation
6 Demonstrate and practice a high level of initiative and self-direction
7 Reflect on fieldwork experiences demonstrating a deeper level of understanding of its significance compared to previous placements/years
