This is a capstone unit that integrates the knowledge you have developed during your History units. Students enrolling in this unit should have completed units equivalent to 36 credit points (typically 3 units) from the History major. The focus of the assessment is to prepare you for a history-focused career.
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
locate and critically evaluate a range of relevant sources
undertake a major research project in community history using historical research skills and methods
apply oral and written skills in communicating research findings.
