Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

discuss clinical manifestations of selected disease processes and health problems associated with congenital or acquired medical conditions

interpret the results of laboratory tests to help investigate pathological conditions and communicate findings in terms of clinical relevance for the client

compare and contrast normal physiology with common disorders on a gross anatomical, cellular and molecular basis

analyse case studies on selected pathologies and provide clear and accurate information in a timely manner
