Considers prior knowledge of the human body and further develops and extends this at the cellular, tissue, organ, and systems level. This understanding will serve to integrate structure, function and physiology and its application to studies in health and human sciences.

Learning outcomes

explain the inter-relationships of structure and function of systems of the human body.

explain homeostatic mechanisms that maintain stable internal conditions within the intracellular and extracellular environments of the human body.
