Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

demonstrate knowledge of the structural organisation of the human body from cellular to system level.

demonstrate knowledge of the mechanisms underlying the normal functions of the human body, and its responses to changes in the internal and external environment.

explain the inter-relationships of structure and function of systems of the human body.

explain homeostatic mechanisms that maintain stable internal conditions within the intracellular and extracellular environments of the human body.
