Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
frame a research question, develop aims and associated testable hypotheses
plan and design an experimental research project
critically evaluate and apply considerations needed when experimenting with live animals including applying animal ethics in research
select and apply appropriate statistics for analyses of specific datasets
organise and manage resource and time priorities and work as a team with fellow scholars
demonstrate the ability to interpret the results of field work/experiments with special consideration to the scientific literature.
