    Students require a sound knowledge of fundamental geological processes such as rock types, volcanic processes and landscape evolution processes. Students will need some basic skills in accessing web-based maps for interpretation of satellite imagery and to acquire data on wave and wind climates. These skills are obtained by completion of the pre-requisite unit or equivalent experience. The unit is delivered as an online unit, with learning material delivered weekly across Session 3. There will be a four day compulsory residential for all students that will be held on the Lismore campus in December. Unit description

Explores the diversity of coastal landforms. We examine past and contemporary processes that drive the evolution of coastal landforms, with special consideration given to the ramifications of environmental change for coastal management.
