This unit may require software only compatible with Windows 10 (W10 and newer). Students must fulfil a 60-day industry experience requirement to graduate. Completing ENGN4009 - Engineering Professional Practice Thesis 1 and ENGN4010 - Engineering Professional Practice Thesis 2 equates to 30 days of work experience.
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
execute a previously developed research plan, adapting the plan, if necessary, as the research proceeds, and working within the available time and resource constraints
collect, arrange and critically analyse results at a standard expected for publishable research
critically evaluate research results in the context of existing knowledge
communicate research outcomes through an original thesis and through a short seminar and poster prepared in the style for a typical academic research conference
critically reflect on and self-assess development of proficiency in the Engineers Australia Stage 1 Competencies for Professional Engineers
