Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
critically engage with the concept of humans as nature, and how this understanding is reflected in their own environmental and sustainability experiences and philosophies
critically analyse current environmental and sustainability issues to evaluate their implications for educational practice and inform planning and reflection on teaching
analyse and synthesise environmental education pedagogies informed by contemporary research, policy and curriculum frameworks to support the selection and justification of teaching approaches
plan, implement and evaluate environmental education learning experiences, applying a diversity of teaching and learning strategies
