Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

employ innovative pedagogical approaches and teaching strategies including use of appropriate and engaging resources relevant to Stage 6 TAS

develop innovative teaching programs and units of work for sequential learning in Stage 6 TAS subjects including differentiation to meet the diverse needs and interests of students

demonstrate extensive knowledge of assessment practices including rubrics, marking guidelines, marking criteria and the use of performance band descriptors for Stage 6 TAS courses

understand the principles and practice of managing the production of Stage 6 Major Projects and Supporting Documentation

critically analyse suitable management practices including budgeting and selecting, storing, maintaining and replacing materials and equipment within a TAS department

critically analyse the principles and practices of keeping accurate and reliable records and writing reports for students, parents and care givers

plan for the evaluation of teaching including the use of student assessment results to reflect on lesson sequences and inform further planning of teaching and learning.
