Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
describe the foundational principles of vocational education and training (VET)
analyse the policies, frameworks and organisations which impact on VET delivery in Australia
outline the history of VET and analyse issues currently affecting the VET sector
explain the context of teaching and learning within the VET school framework
reflect upon the specific strategies required for teaching within a VET framework
demonstrate an awareness of the ongoing nature of VET developments, together with a strategy for maintaining a current knowledge base
analyse the relationships between VET and industry
