Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

develop a Stage 6 teaching resource that demonstrate a broad and critical understanding of the knowledge base of the Stage 6 PDHPE syllabus, and reflects a well-developed ability to promote independent student research and inquiry

develop an assessment for learning task and marking guidelines that demonstrates appropriate curriculum links and contemporary approaches to assessment

develop an understanding of the principles of the Sport Education in Physical Education (SEPEP) curriculum model and design and deliver a lesson plan

engage with the SEPEP wiki to assist in their delivery of the SEPEP lesson and critically evaluate the effectiveness of using wikis in schools

demonstrate well-developed written and oral communication skills, as appropriate to the needs and expectations of the profession.
