Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
critically review Stage 6 Science syllabuses and apply this knowledge to design and justify curriculum-aligned assessment tasks, unit sequences and lesson plans, considering contemporary issues in senior secondary science
interpret syllabus outcomes. objectives and key competencies to design inclusive and differentiated unit and lesson plans that support effective learning for students from diverse backgrounds and abilities
develop effective teaching and learning activities to integrate literacy and numeracy strategies and source and assess the appropriateness of resources (including ICT) that link to informed and effective teaching and learning across the Science Stage 6 syllabus or Australian Curriculum Year 11 and 12
implement professional knowledge to plan and enact safe laboratory and fieldwork activities, including risk assessment, OH&S management and appropriate use of equipment in senior secondary science contexts
