Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

innovatively use information and communication technologies (ICT) to design and evaluate differentiated curriculum learning opportunities, for classroom and online learning environments, to support collaborative, student-centred learning and the development of critical and creative thinking

use knowledge of relevant theories, models and frameworks to critically reflect on the impact of ICT in educational settings including the social, political, economic, and cultural issues for the teacher and the learner

understand the issues of appropriate access to, and verification of, information gained from a variety of sources including the Internet, social media and other digital resources, for the learner and the teacher

safely and effectively create digital resources suitable for their professional context including storing and retrieving digital teaching resources, lesson preparation and class/faculty administration, and professional learning in online collaborative environments
