Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
safely and competently conduct basic educational dance and educational gymnastics experiences for Stage 4 and Stage 5 school students
describe the principles of co-operative learning, peer-assessment and self- assessment
discuss the strengths and weaknesses of co-operative learning, peer-assessment and self- assessment for learning and assessment wit Stage 4 and 5 students
apply the principles of co-operative learning, peer-assessment and self-assessment within the contexts of this unit's dance and gymnastics learning experiences
locate co-operative learning, peer-assessment and self-assessment within the spectrum of teaching styles available to physical education teachers
discuss the relevance and value of gymnastics and dance education for young people.
